Volt Salons: Style it Forward

Volt Salons: Style it Forward

Volt Salons will turn a day of hair services into a day of giving on Tuesday, November 10, with Style It Forward, a fundraising service day benefiting the Hair for Her Fund. Every appointment at both Volt locations helps raise money for women experiencing hair loss.

How it works

On November 10, Volt on Main and Volt71 will donate the following to hair loss fund:

  • 100% of the proceeds from all cuts, styling, and express services
  • 20% of the proceeds from all other services and retail purchases

About the Hair for Her Fund

Hair loss from illness, medical treatment, aging, stress, or genetics can change how a woman sees herself, and hair replacement can be expensive. The Hair for Her Fund provides financial support toward extensions, toppers, wigs, and other hair replacement services.

Volt began the annual fundraiser in its first year of business to raise hair and money for a third party organization. But as Volt continued to serve and get to know the Lakeway and Bee Cave community, the team found a great need for affordable hair loss solutions within their own salon.

In 2025, Volt’s community raised over $16,000, with $3,695 in direct donations to the Hair for Her fund. Last year’s makeover recipient, Lizy Johns, a breast cancer survivor nominated by her daughter, Lena, received a $2,000 hair makeover.

Hair for Her: VIP Night

On Saturday, November 14, Volt on Main will host a private evening of pampering, personalized makeovers, community, and an intimate photo shoot for women from the Lakeway and Bee Cave communities who are experiencing hair thinning or loss from medical treatment, illness, genetics, aging, or other life events. The salon is calling on the community for VIP nominations. Nominees will receive a direct invitation. One nominee will receive a wig or hair replacement makeover through the Hair for Her Fund.

“Our VIPs are mothers, friends, and neighbors in our community, and they deserve a night that reminds them how beautiful and loved they are,” said Kellie Brattain, owner of Volt Salons.

To nominate a local friend or loved one, send their name, contact information and a bit about their story to info@voltsalons.com by November 6th.
