Contracommon is a nonprofit that provides affordable studios to emerging artists. We foster a sense of community in an inclusive way to go against the common. Contracommon has a dedicated 1,200 sq/foot gallery space, 12 artist studios, communal workspace, office, onsite laundry, and kitchen. We believe in providing artists the opportunity to present their work to the world without the obstacles of a traditional studio/gallery arrangement.
